Head of IT Operations and Technical Services

As Head of IT Operations and Technical Services, you will own the performance and evolution of our hybrid cloud and on‐premises infrastructure. You will lift operational maturity, drive continuous improvement across IT service delivery, and play a key role in building a technology function that strengthens partnership, clarity, and shared success.
Working closely with a supportive CIO, you will lead a capable and engaged team while contributing to a culture that genuinely values continuous improvement, empowerment, open collaboration and thoughtful leadership, all supported by the flexibility of our hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
* Own day‐to‐day IT operations across IT and OT infrastructure, networks, cloud services and the service desk, ensuring stability, performance and service excellence against agreed levels
* Lead operational transformation and uplift activities as the IT function undergoes structural and process change, including modernisation of platforms, tools and ways of working
* Set strategic direction for infrastructure and service platforms, enterprise technology standards and operational governance to ensure we achieve full lifecycle value and security
* Manage strategic relationships with business leaders, vendors and partners, ensuring alignment on priorities, delivery and continuous improvement
* Build a high‐performance team culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, innovation and genuine care for people and wellbeing
About You
* A strategic and hands‐on IT operations leader with 10+ year's experience managing complex infrastructure environments and leading multi‐discipline teams
* Skilled in driving operational excellence, ITSM maturity and process discipline, with deep knowledge across servers, networks, cloud platforms, monitoring and security operations
* Experienced in major incident leadership, resilience and recovery, and in transforming operational performance through discipline, automation and simplification
* Confidently engaging senior stakeholders and business leaders, translating technical complexity into clear business language and making sound decisions under pressure
* Motivated by people, culture and creating an environment where teams feel safe, supported and empowered to do their best work
