The School of Education and the Arts is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Course Support Officer to coordinate and enhance the academic progression experience for students enrolled in the Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
In this student-facing role, you will play a key part in supporting international student retention and success. By coordinating academic support processes, monitoring student progression, and collaborating across teams, your work will directly contribute to the University’s mission of delivering outstanding student outcomes.
You will:
* Provide high-level support and guidance to students and staff regarding academic progression.
* Monitor academic performance and coordinate support interventions for students at risk.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build positive relationships that enhance student experience.
* Develop and maintain accurate records, reporting, and documentation to inform policy and continuous improvement.
* Contribute to the ongoing review and development of processes and systems that support student retention and progression.

Position Requirements
* A degree with relevant experience, or equivalent knowledge and training.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence, consult, and liaise with clients from a variety of cultural and educational backgrounds.
* Strong judgement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply policy.
* A keen eye for detail and a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement.
* Experience with university systems such as CRM, StudentOne, CQUSuccess (Desirable), and confidence using MS Office and other business software.
