Join us, and become a HeartistResponsibilitiesAssist senior Chefs with menu preparation, ensuring adequate supplies are available for expected serviceMaintain excellent presentation standards and cost controlAssist with the implementation and maintenance of programs to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchenBe a leader of the team by setting a positive exampleSupervision of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef or allocated Chefs.
Delegate duties and responsibilities to kitchen employees to ensure service demands are metAssist with minimising food wasteQualificationsPrevious experience in a similar role, preferable within a hotel industryTrade qualification in commercial cookery or equivalentLeadership experience within a professional kitchen environmentDemonstrated experience with dietary requirements and creating menus to suit those needsStrong knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP management, and compliance with local health and safety regulationsFood Safety Supervisor certificate viewed as advantageousExcellent communication and leadership skillsCreative culinary mind, up to date on local and international food trendsFlexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidaysFull legal work rights to work in Australia must be held to be considered for this roleAdditional InformationALL Heartist Membership -Take advantage of discounts on accommodation and food & beverage worldwide
