Your primary objective will be to lead your team in collaboration with our global + regional matrix organisation to achieve all agreed financial + operational objectives, working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders.
You will oversee + manage business activities to achieve our business goals, to position us as the provider of choice, increasing our market share + exploring untapped territories.
How you create impact
To develop new business opportunities, including tender analysis, solution design, + pricing, engaging your specialist + operational teams to deliver in accordance with agreed customer service levels + within our financial targets.
To monitor market trends + competitor activity, identifying opportunities while developing + nurturing our carrier base.
To deliver operational excellence across the business unit, continuously optimizing operations by implementing standard processes + best practices.
To be actively involved in motivating + leading the team across a range of people related activities.
To liaise with customers, managing feedback in a manner that provides explanations, puts the customer at ease + demonstrates that the right corrective actions are put in place to prevent a reoccurrence.

Lead and manage national road logistics operations in line with company strategy
Increase turnover and profit margin through effective business development
Direct and control sales activities for road logistics
Develop and implement product strategies to expand market share
Ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction
Negotiate contracts and rates with customers and partners
Collaborate with regional and global teams to align with corporate strategy
Provide strategic direction to the road logistics team
Coach and develop staff to build strong leadership pipelines
Foster a performance-driven culture with accountability and results orientation
Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive deals
Commercial ownership of P&L for road logistics business
Identify growth opportunities and drive market penetration
Develop customized logistics solutions for key customers
Proven track record in road logistics or freight forwarding
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage complex operations across multiple stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Customer-focused mindset with ability to build long-term partnerships
