Warrandale Industries is a multidisciplinary company, specialising in public realm landscape construction across Victoria. A family run business since 1962, our expertise is second to none, highly awarded and sought after by Tier One Builders, Major Developers, Local Councils, and State Government departments such as Zoos Victoria and the Royal Botanic Gardens.
Our team’s incredible skill set allows us to construct amazing custom built playspaces, highly detailed skate parks, open space parklands, Wetlands, Splash Parks, Boardwalks, Shelters and Public Infrastructure, Zoological exhibits and of course beautiful landscapes along the journey.
Our operations are based from our head office in Scoresby, situated in a modern and progressive office space.
The Role:
This position is a full-time role, based from the Scoresby office working alongside our Directors, Operations Manager and Project Engineers. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the extended management team including assistance with estimating, tender preparation and support. In addition, this role will include;
* Handle new and existing client enquiries, answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails, provide efficient and professional communication.
* Review construction drawings and complete accurate take-off of quantities using computer-based programs.
* Source quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors.
* Prepare and issue purchase orders.
* Assist with tender submission documents and submit proposals to online client portals.
* Assist in the recruitment process, including advertising roles and scheduling interviews.
* Organise and maintain data filing and archiving systems.
* Prepare and submit building permit documents.
* Assist to manage online based workplace safety, quality and environmental platform, including staff training and inductions.
* Collaborate, file and review QA documents including preparation for yearly ISO audits.
* Work collaboratively with other administration and site-based staff.
About you:
We are looking for a friendly and outgoing professional, who would be confident in providing team support and other administrative responsibilities required by the Company. Candidates with the following skills would be best suited to this role;
* Tertiary qualification in business or administration (preferred).
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated experience in Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Work, Excel
* Proven experience in preparing formal documents and email correspondence.
* Excellent team player with strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.
* Highly accountable with a focus on delivering key objectives.
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
* A proactive problem solver with a methodical and practical approach to daily tasks.
* Motivated and driven to maintain high standards in tasks and deliverables.
* Reliable, dynamic, and honest with a keen attention to detail.
* Eager to learn and continuously improve.
* Have permanent work rights in Australia.
