**Who are we looking for?**:
AnglicareSA has created a true career pathway to enter the growing sector of Community Aged Care. You will be employed as a Domestic Assistant to get immediate, hands-on experience supporting customers in their homes to lay the foundations. We will fully fund your Certificate III Individual Support, host your student placement hours, and support you to earn while you learn.
This opportunity would suit anyone with a customer service, retail, hospitality background or similar, or anyone with a lived experience caring for a family member.

**What can you expect to be doing?**:
You will begin as a Home Care Worker until you are qualified as a Care Worker.
As a Home Care Worker, you will visit our customer's homes, supporting them to maintain a clean and safe living environment. This could involve making bathrooms sparkle, taking pesky creases out of laundry, grocery shopping and prepping basic meals.
As a Care Worker on completion of your Certificate III, your visits to customers' homes will build on this foundation by including personal care activities and other tasks/activities listed on the Care Plan.
We have customers all across Adelaide, and try to keep you as close to home as possible The council areas we provide care to our customers are below:
- Northern Suburbs (Tea Tree Gully, Salisbury and Playford incl. Gawler region)
- Eastern Suburbs (Burnside, Campbelltown, Norwood, Payneham, Walkerville)
- Southern Suburbs (Onkaparinga, Marion, Mitcham and Holdfast Bay)
- Western Suburbs (Port Adelaide Enfield, West Torrens, Charles Sturt)
**What do you need to bring?**:
- No formal experience or qualifications
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers
- A fantastic attitude and genuine interest in helping others
- A current Australian driver's licence (Provisional accepted) and your own insured vehicle (for which you will be paid mileage allowance)
- Commitment to completing a Certificate III in Individual Support with 1 day per fortnight in the classroom (total of 14 classroom days)
- Happy to obtain a police clearance working with unsupervised vulnerable people
- Enjoyment in social activities, and one-on-one engagement
Important to note, as a Home Care Worker the shifts we can offer are Monday to Friday, however once you become a Care Worker there are also shifts available on weeknights and weekends
