The Opportunity
Monash Retail is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Retail Supervisor. The Retail Supervisor will be responsible for supervising casual staff; transacting sales; coordinating merchandising and promotion activities and assisting with stock control and the daily receipt of goods. In addition, the position is responsible for providing a reliable and efficient service, assisting with stock purchasing and replenishment, accurate receipting of goods, shelf packing, stock-takes, pricing, gross margins, markdowns and write/offs.
To be successful in the role you will have:
* Experience in a fast-paced Supermarket or Retail environment with a hands-on approach
* Experience using a Point of Sale system such as WorldSmart and demonstrated ability to learn new systems and processes
* Sound organisational skills, including the ability to manage time, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy
* Experience in purchasing stock from suppliers and replenishing stock
* Ability to work as an effective member of a team as well as independently under broad supervision
* Ability to undertake shift supervision
