About the Role
As Team Leader, you'll manage a crew of approx.6 in the installation of optic fibre cables using ploughing techniques. You'll split your time between leading on-site operations and planning, reporting, and liaising with supervisors. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership, civil experience, and a passion for working in remote environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee civil activities including cable hauling, excavation, and equipment operation
* Maintain safety standards and lead daily pre-start/toolbox talks
* Monitor project delivery, quality, and team performance
* Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
* Maintain records, schedules, and progress reports
* Operate plant and equipment: dozer, excavator, vacuum truck, winches, HR trucks
What You'll Need
* HR Licence (preferred)&Construction White Card
* Experience leading plough crews in fibre installation (Optic Fibre Plough preferred)
* Strong planning, communication & IT skills
* Ability to work remotely and live in a caravan when required
* Desirable tickets: Excavator, Dozer, Traffic Management, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, High Risk Licence
