What You Will Be Doing
You will be responsible for managing waste receivals and ensuring all associated compliance documentation is accurately completed and reconciled against incoming deliveries. Duties include identifying and sorting various waste streams, labelling and weighing materials, recording inventory and billing information, and undertaking labour-intensive processing tasks. You will operate a forklift for loading, unloading, and internal movements while maintaining safe and compliant handling of packaged waste, soils, oxidised dangerous goods (including batteries and e-waste), hydrocarbon waste, workshop waste, and other regulated materials. This position offers a balanced work environment, with approximately 50% yard-based duties and 50% office-based administrative responsibilities. The role operates Monday to Friday and requires a strong focus on compliance, safety, and accuracy.
What You Will Need
* White Card
* Previous experience in waste management or resource recovery
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to interpret delivery documentation and ensure compliance
* Experience reconciling paperwork and inventory records
* Physically capable of manual and labour-intensive duties
* Strong safety awareness and commitment to procedures
* Ability to identify and categorise various waste streams
* Solid communication and organisational skills
* Current Forklift Licence
* Monday to Friday roster
* Competitive hourly rate + penalties
