**The Role**
The EL1 Quality Assurance Manager is accountable, for management of the Headquarters Aviation Command (HQ AVNCOMD) Quality Management System (QMS). The member shall determine the nature and frequency of internal HQ assessment activities necessary to ensure conformance with the applicable policy. The member is responsible for:
- Oversight of audits of Aviation Command by external agencies. of internal QMS documentation management and of corrective action management
- Monitoring the QMS to determine where improvements can be made to business, and recommending actions to improve the effectiveness of those practices
- Acting as the QMS Subject Matter Expert within the HQ and providing education to the organisation and individuals on the needs for maintaining a healthy QMS
**About our Team**
The Directorate is responsible for aspects of Army Aircraft Weapon Systems, Flight Safety of the Aircraft Type. Aviation Support Systems, Aviation Medicine, Aviation Psychology / Human Factors and Army Air Operations, to ensure Army Aviation maintains Airworthiness.
These aspects encompass a range of activities including Army Aviation Policy formulation (OIP), Governance, Command Clearance, Review and Compliance Audit of Operational Procedures, Management of Aviation Safety and Reporting, Management of Flight Manuals and Aircrew Records.
The successful applicant should have previous experience in the management and oversight of Quality Management Systems.
