We wish to complement our existing team with an experienced Senior Communications and Stakeholder Advisor for our Water Projects within our Fulton Hogan Utilities business, focusing on the newly awarded Sydney Water project. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in stakeholder engagement, a deep understanding of the water infrastructure sector, and experience in managing large-scale projects. We are recruiting for the West Region Delivery Team on the Sydney Water P4S program. The West Region Delivery Team (WRDT) Senior Community & Stakeholder Advisor will work in close collaboration with Sydney Water, supporting WRDT Community & Stakeholder Advisors and Graduate Advisors. This dynamic role involves the day-to-day development and implementation of engagement and communications plans/activities on projects across detailed design, construction and maintenance. This includes managing engagement to support the WRDT delivery structure, including working at various WRDT offices, sites and locations within the West Region as required. Day to day you will: Support the effective delivery of community and stakeholder engagement and communications within the West Region Delivery Team, across detailed design, construction and maintenance for the regional program. Work with Sydney Water community engagement advisors to facilitate seamless transfer of projects from planning to delivery. Develop and implement Community & Stakeholder Engagement Plans based on risk profile and activities. Use appropriate tools to identify impacted community members for individual projects and across the regional program, identifying cumulative impacts. Support project teams to proactively prepare and issue communication materials and facilitate appropriate engagement activities to mitigate risk. Attend strategic, program, project and team meetings as required. Support the West Region Delivery Team project teams in understanding Sydney Water community engagement practices and protocols. Assist Community Engagement Advisors in managing escalated project issues. Manage resolution, project related community and stakeholder enquiries, issues, and complaints. How you'll connect to the role: Qualification in relevant discipline, such as communications, community relations or the humanities. Minimum seven years’ experience in similar role delivering community engagement for projects in infrastructure, utilities or construction. Experience of delivering projects, with a proven track record of managing risk and delivering outcomes within allocated time, cost, legislative and contractual requirements. Understanding of the Engagement Institute (formerly known as IAP2) community and stakeholder engagement framework. A commitment to the principles of transparency, equality, diversity and continuous improvement. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to make sound judgements and balance competing priorities. Experience managing client and stakeholder expectations and conflict resolution. Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams. A “C” class driver’s license and a Construction Industry White Card. Our people share the same set of values that keep us REAL.
