The role sits within Core Finance (Treasury) Tech area under Enterprise Finance and Data domain in Group Services division. Treasury systems are Group OFSAA, ABS+ and a number of SaaS products. We service the Group Treasury Business, and our systems have complex upstream and downstream integration footprint.
The primary function of this role is to provide Quality Assurance over engineering changes. The secondary function of this role (10% of your time) is to act as an engineer and deliver small changes. This role will suit someone who is strong on the Quality Assurance side and is interested in extending themselves to add engineering skills. This role would also suit an engineer with an interest in developing their QA skills.
As a QA Analyst your role is to design & execute functional and non-functional tests, develop scripts to automate tests, work closely with Business and Technical users to clarify requirements and resolve defects, support test environments, report on defects and ensure that all changes deployed to production are free from defects.
You will work in the Treasury Tech squad, alongside the Group Treasury Systems & Data team that will have accountability for some parts of the technology stack.
What will your day look like?
* Understanding requirements from engineering leads/functional designers/business requestor
* Working on functional and non-functional tests on the OFSAA & OBIEE platforms, encompassing changes to:
o ETL & Data Mapping
o Control-M Batch Scheduling / Splunk Alerting
o PMM Framework (Batch Process Execution)
o OFSAA APEX User Interface
o Inbound File Management (incl. Load to SNP)
o OFSAA Outbound File Management
o OFSAA PAD Tool
o OFSAA Integration Mgt (Connect:Direct, Control-M, others)
o OFSAA OBIEE Reporting Build and Server Administration
* Work with other squads on integration testing
* Support business users in UAT
* Write test scope, determine test data needs, review engineering changes and execute test cases. Raise defects as required and assist the engineers in resolving defects.

Must Have
* 4+ years of experience in IT in a similar Quality role.
* Advanced relational database skills, with the ability to use SQL to validate data quality, investigate defects, and perform root‐cause analysis.
* Experience writing SQL and coding in programming languages, 3GL or greater.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate with squad members and stakeholders in tech and business, ability to update technical documentation
Highly Regarded
* Understanding of OFSAA (FTP, ALM, OFSAAI) & OBIEE is an advantage.
* Strong understanding of batch processing frameworks and integration tools like Connect:Direct and Control-M.
* Experience in PL/SQL for coding data validation, ETL processes, and troubleshooting.
* Oracle Apex and UNIX Shell scripting.
* Ability to document designs, test plans, and deployment guides.
* Ability to use SQL Developer for query tracing and performance analysis.
* Strong skills in standard ANZ development tools eg., Github
* Passionate about learning new technology
* Basic understanding of ITIL, incident, problem and change management
