We have a newly created opportunity available for a highly capable and motivated Analytics & Insights Analyst to support the development and implementation of data systems and processes that enable us to meet our environmental and sustainability reporting obligations. This role is based at our modern Melbourne Head Office featuring a balcony, BBQ area, collaborative and quiet spaces and an abundance of natural light. We are also open to having this role based at other locations for the right candidate, including Wetherill Park (NSW), Fortitude Valley (QLD), or Regency Park (SA).

About the role

You will work closely with the Environment team and other internal stakeholders to improve the accuracy, efficiency and transparency of environmental data capture and reporting.You will also help design and automate data flows between corporate systems such as Accounts Payable, Fleet, Assets, Facilities and Procurement to support energy and emissions reporting.You will play an important part in expanding our environmental data coverage, including waste, recycling, renewable energy, and other HSE-related performance metrics.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with the Environment Manager to lead the structuring and automation of energy, emissions, waste, and compliance data flows across the business.

Administering and maintaining Service Stream's environmental data platform, including integration with other key systems (e.g. AP, Fleet, Facilities, ERP).

Building and maintaining reports and dashboards that track performance against environmental KPIs.

Supporting compliance with the NGER Act, Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS) and frameworks such as CDP, and assisting with the preparation of disclosures.

Developing and documenting data models, workflows, and governance practices that support a verifiable and auditable basis of preparation.

Identifying process gaps and opportunities for automation using tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Python, SQL, and AI/ML where appropriate.

About you

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who has a high attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across corporate functions.You are confident working both independently and collaboratively to drive continuous improvement in environmental data systems.

You will also have:

Minimum 3 years' experience in a data analytics, performance reporting, or similar role.

Experience working in a complex, compliance-driven business (e.g. infrastructure, construction, energy, or utilities) is desirable but not essential.

Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, including data extraction, validation, transformation, and reporting.

Demonstrated experience in delivering Power BI dashboards, with familiarity in data modelling and data quality principles.

Experience or exposure to environmental, safety, or sustainability reporting is highly desirable, but not essential.

Familiarity with financial and accounting concepts is desirable, particularly as they relate to environmental transaction data sets such as fuel usage, energy billing, procurement records, and cost-centre reporting.

Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power Query, or similar tools. Experience with AI/ML or automation tools (e.g. Power Automate, Python, R) would be an advantage.

Formal qualifications (e.g. Certificate IV or higher) in data analytics, engineering, science, asset management, or a related field are desirable.
