Description
Maitland City Council is a diverse and dynamic organisation in a rapidly growing LGA. We are going through an exciting period of change, with a focus on providing un‐Council like services through exceptional customer experience. We have transitioned into our new Administration Building in central Maitland and we are excited to add to our highly skilled team and continue to make a true and meaningful impact on our community.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will hold a Trade Certificate in Carpentry, Painting or Building and Construction, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of contemporary experience and/or education and training.
You will hold contemporary industry knowledge, with the demonstrated knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and associated regulations.
You will be well versed with reading and interpreting plans and specifications, display strong analytical skills to support decision processes and experience in engaging appropriate contractors and overseeing works and projects.
Your proven leadership skills will allow you to supervise, coach and mentor team in their day‐to‐day activities.
Benefits
This is a permanent full‐time role, working 38 hours per week with a salary ranging from $77,484 – $86,008 + 12% super. Council also offers a range of benefits for its employees including:
