Diesel Mechanic Job
We are seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to join our team at our Swanbank Landfill site. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of diesel engines and associated systems.
The successful candidate will have experience in the maintenance and repair of trucks, trailers, and mobile equipment, as well as strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills. A background in road transport, plant equipment, or similar fields is desirable.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, and more
* Performing regular servicing, lubrication, and preventative maintenance
* Testing engine performance and fine-tuning for optimal operation
* Rebuilding engines and fabricating or repairing parts when required
* Using specialized tools and mechanical equipment to solve problems
* Responding to breakdowns on-site

Requirements:
* A relevant trade qualification in mechanical fitting or diesel mechanics
* Ability to pass a police check and complete a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening)
