Job Overview
Based in the outpatient physiotherapy department in Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr, we are seeking dynamic, forward-thinking clinicians to join our team. You will embrace the Health Board values, have excellent communication skills, a strong team ethos, and demonstrate leadership qualities. We are looking for a physiotherapist with a solid foundation in core Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy skills, who embraces innovation and is committed to shared decision-making and evidence-based practice.
Within the musculoskeletal speciality, you will independently manage a clinical caseload with support from senior clinicians and mentors. There may be opportunities to work within community outpatient MSK services and new models of care aligned with the ABUHB MSK Transformation programme.
Main duties of the job
The physiotherapy team at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr is experienced, supportive, and committed to your development. They are passionate about improving services for our local population.
You will work closely with the Administration team and department colleagues.
The ABUHB Physiotherapy Service encourages staff development through local and Health Board-wide education, including extensive core and advanced skills training, participation in speciality forums, clinical audit, research, and supervision.
We have a structured appraisal system with annual reviews based on the Knowledge and Skills Framework. You will also assist in educating and mentoring rotational staff and physiotherapy students from Cardiff University and the University of South Wales.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
