The Smug Fig kitchen & Social are looking for a bartender to join our team
We are a 7 day licensed brunch venue open 2 nights a week in a modern venue in Stones corner. The venue is a 90 seater with a modest cocktail and spritzer menu as well as craft tap beers, wines and a medium range of spirits. We have a full kitchen.
We are looking for an experienced bartender to join our team for Saturday Trivia themed nights once a month as well as private events. Shifts start at 2pm and finish at 8:30/9pm. Latest finishes can be around 11-11:30pm if we have private events. Looking for applicants with a basic to medium knowledge of beers, wines and mixology. Applicants with coffee making experience is a advantage, as we are a brunch venue we do serve coffee in the late afternoon.
Looking for applicants with the following skills/attributes:
* Trustworthy and reliable
-Experience making /serving drinks and also customer service
* Ability to take orders and payment
* Have their RSA and experience in a bar environment
* Good work ethic and enjoy customer interaction
* Cocktail making knowledge
The role includes the following tasks/responsibilities:
* Taking orders and serving customers in the bar
* Ensuring bar is kept clean and well stocked
* Enforcing RSA and running drinks/food to tables
* Clearing and resetting tables
* Closing the venue and cash up at shifts end
This position is great for someone that wants to get some extra hours, without doing crazy late nightclub hours. Also their is opportunity for more shifts for the right person. You will be joining a great team with a strong culture of taking care of our guests and striving to grow our evenings to match our brunch popularity.
