About the company

Our client is a leading early intervention multidisciplinary team based in the Illawarra region. They are a growing team dedicated to providing exceptional support to children aged 0-7 years with developmental delays and disabilities, empowering them to reach their full developmental potential.


Role

Our client is looking for a passionate speech pathologist who would love to work either full-time or part-time with flexible hours across schools, early learning services and in their clinic.


Responsibilities

* Provide comprehensive speech pathology services to children of all ages, from early childhood through school age, including assessment, diagnosis and treatment of communication and feeding difficulties.
* Assess and diagnose a range of needs such as articulation difficulties, language delays, comprehension issues, stuttering, voice disorders, social skills deficits, and oral motor dysfunction.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
* Deliver therapy in diverse settings including the Dapto clinic, preschools, and schools.
* Manage session structure: typical sessions are 30 minutes long (face-to-face) for allied health assistant sessions and 1 hour for NDIS sessions (including 45 minutes face-to-face therapy and 15 minutes administrative tasks).
* Collaborate with parents, families, educators, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
* Provide parents with strategies and tasks to support progress at home.
* Align therapy goals with school learning needs and integrate therapy with school-based learning.
* Participate in group therapy sessions and holiday intensive programs.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and administrative paperwork required for NDIS billing.
