WSP has secured a strong pipeline of Brisbane Olympics 2032 venue opportunities. Acoustics delivery includes involvement in key stadium upgrades such as Barlow Park and Sunshine Coast Stadium.
Office locations are either Brisbane or Gold Coast, as part of a collaborative national team.
Potential to work in all areas of building acoustics, transport infrastructure, environmental noise, and vibration.
Key Responsibilities
* Provision of acoustic consultancy services in support of the technical and commercial needs of the business.
* Collaborative working within WSP's multidisciplinary teams on large and complex projects in Australia.
* Carry out environmental acoustics and vibration investigations, including noise and vibration impact assessments, monitoring, site inspections, mitigation and management.
* Begin building relationships with internal and external clients.
* Complete noise predictions using specialised acoustic models and software and analyse and process data.
* Prepare technical reports for review.
* Coaching and mentoring more junior staff, contributing to the future of our industry.
* Seek opportunities to work fluidly across environmental acoustics and building acoustics projects.
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Equivalent.
* Full Australian driving licence.
* 10 to 15 years of experience in Acoustics, Noise and/or Vibration within a consultancy environment.
* Demonstrated technical skills across a broad range of disciplines within Australia or New Zealand.
* Strong working knowledge of Australian acoustic standards and guidelines.
* Experience in the use of various acoustics software (SoundPlan, CadnaA or equivalent) and mapping software (QGIS, AutoCad or equivalent).
* Ability to prepare technical reports on small to medium projects.
* Experience leading small projects within the discipline, monitoring and managing the scope of multiple projects and applying business systems.
* Ability to write winning proposals and support the group in winning jobs.
* Developing capacity to deliver best client outcomes and cost‐saving options.
* Experience applying legislation, standards, guidelines and project specifications.
* Skilled at identifying risks in small to medium profile projects.
* Confident in sharing professional knowledge to coach and develop junior staff.
* Industry registration such as RPEQ and RPEV is desirable.
