About the Role
We are seeking a
Project Engineer
to support our Estimators, Project Managers, and Construction Supervisors across the full project lifecycle – from tendering and planning through to delivery and finalisation. This role is pivotal in coordinating civil works, ensuring documentation accuracy, managing subcontractors, and maintaining QA and compliance standards.
This role may have you involved in the internal delivery of projects or the external delivery assistance of our consulting clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with estimating, tender submissions, and pricing variations.
* Coordinate project documentation, survey control, and contractual reviews.
* Work with supervisors to prepare Construction programs.
* Manage RFIs and ensure timely responses.
* Oversee subcontractors and ensure high-quality workmanship.
* Maintain QA documentation, including ITPs and compliance records.
* Monitor environmental and safety obligations in line with Keejen systems.
* Support project risk assessments and identify constructability issues.
* Ensure proper control, storage, and distribution of drawings and site documentation.
Safety & Environment Responsibilities
* Comply with Keejen's safety and environmental management systems.
* Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and develop SWMS.
* Use PPE and safe practices in all tasks.
* Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
* Report incidents immediately and follow emergency procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
* Current White Card (General Construction Induction).
* Valid Australian driver's licence.
* Experience in project engineering within civil construction.
* RIW is desirable
* Strong knowledge of QA systems, construction methodologies, and contract management.
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Project.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
