Your Role: Working with the Assistant Director of PASS, as the PASS Coordinator you will be responsible for the care and support of American college and university students studying in the CEA CAPA Sydney Centre. Primary areas of focus include supporting students, health and safety, housing, educational excursions and events outside of the classroom. As the PASS Coordinator you will also works collaboratively with the academic and internship teams, providing support as needed. Successful candidates will be provided cross training with internships and academics departments, making this role especially exciting for someone looking for diverse responsibilities, exposure to multiple areas within an international education setting, and the rewards of seeing students grow and succeed during their time abroad. Starting salary: AUD 75,000 What You'll Do: Provide high quality student support and advising to ensure students have the best possible study abroad experience With the Assistant Director, manage occasional disciplinary matters and student crises that may arise Welcome students to the centre at the front desk; this could include carrying out welfare checks of students entering the centre Secure appropriate guest speakers, excursions, and site visits with input from Internship and Academic Teams Work with the Program Management Team in the USA to create pre- and post-arrival student materials and play a key role in student arrival and orientation Attend evening and weekend social events for student arrivals and departures; manage and participate in student orientation sessions Build and maintain suppliers/contacts database; research and scope new venues for student events, build relationships with new and existing suppliers, and negotiate competitive pricing for program budgets Create program calendars and detailed itineraries for customised programs Act as a member of CEA CAPA’s crisis management team on a rotational basis, providing 24/7 emergency support to all Sydney students. CEA CAPA provides training and has clearly established protocols for managing such situations. Back up support is available for difficult situations Welcome representatives from existing and prospective institutional partners to the CEA CAPA Sydney Program and arrange site visits as required Opportunities to participate in CEA CAPA global committees and cross-functional groups Implement student activities in the study center Design and implement personal and professional development opportunities for students in Sydney Manage program budgets, tracking spending and staying within set budget, and requesting payments from the finance team in Phoenix for suppliers in a timely fashion Contributing to the arrival, mid-term and end of term reporting in conjunction with the Assistant Director of PASS Cross collaborate and assist in Academic and Internship activities when required Other duties as requested by the Centre Director and Assistant Director of PASS What Makes a Great Candidate: Bachelor's Degree Excellent customer services skills and a strong interest and ability to work with people, particularly university students Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills A high degree of professionalism and strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent time and event management skills. A level of thoroughness, accuracy, and consistency in their work Ability to work independently while also being a strong team member who is comfortable with supervision and support Ability to manage effectively under pressure and handle difficult situations Strong digital technology skills including high proficiency in Microsoft Office and a familiarity with databases Experience or an aptitude for working with classroom presentation equipment A flexible and adaptable personality and work style A willingness to work outside of regular office hours at busy times of the year as well as when attending events or dealing with urgent student issues The legal right to work in Australia Bonus Qualifications: Knowledge of the US education system (preferred).
