About this role North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) Mental Health, Public Health and Dental Services (MHPHDS) provides the State's largest mental health service providing Youth, Adult, Older Adult, Forensic and State-wide services in a variety of settings that include inpatient units within NMHS hospitals, community mental health centres, day therapy and outreach programs. The service includes Graylands Hospital, the state's only standalone public psychiatric teaching hospital that provides acute care, rehabilitation, treatment and rehabilitation for adults. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Senior Occupational Therapist plans, implements, coordinates and evaluates Occupational Therapy services to patients in the Acute Care and Hospital Extended Care streams of Graylands Hospital using advanced Occupational Therapy clinical practice skills. In this role, you will plan, implement and evaluate patient safety and quality of care, and supervise Occupational Therapy staff and support staff in the clinical area, coordinating duties and managing performance. You will practice as a Senior Occupational Therapist and ensure practice is in accordance to the Occupational Therapy professional and registration requirements, standards, codes and guidelines. You will also ensure practice aligns with the NMHS vision, mission, values, strategic priorities, policies and guidelines. This role reports to Manager Occupational Therapy.
