Multi Skilled Carer
About the Role:
The Multi Skilled Carer plays a vital role in assisting residents with their daily living activities, providing personal care, domestic support, and social interaction. This position requires flexibility and adaptability, as staff may be assigned to different locations within a predefined group of sites.
This is a part-time position working 60 hours per fortnight, with shifts from 7:00am to 1:00pm, Monday to Friday, across various residential facilities in the Southern Suburbs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support residents' physical, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing through individualized care delivery.
* Assist with residents' care needs in line with their care plan.
* Collaborate with team members to promote a harmonious working environment.
* Support and advocate the rights of older people.
* Assist with personal hygiene, showering, and toileting.
* Assist with activities of daily living, dressing, and grooming.
* Assist at mealtimes including feeding.
* Administer medication.
Requirements:
* Evidence of COVID-19 and Current 2024 Flu vaccinations per policies.
* Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity).
* Successful completion of pre-employment physical and reference checks.
* Certificate III/IV in Individual Support – Aging.
* Willingness to attend a compulsory 7-day induction at our Training Institute.
* NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage).
* Previous experience administering medications (desirable).
* Effective communication skills and ability to develop understanding relationships with residents.
