Casual Kitchen Hand / Cook
The Mawson Lakes Hotel is looking for an energetic Kitchen Hand / Cook to join our busy kitchen team. Part of the SA Pub Group (including Hotel Crown in Victor Harbor, Semaphore Hotel and Fed Hotel), our venue is fast-paced, high-volume and full of variety — serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, seven days a week.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a team, is eager to learn, and wants to gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Assisting chefs with basic food preparation and cooking tasks
* Maintaining excellent kitchen cleanliness and organisation
* Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment to support service
* Receiving and storing stock safely and efficiently
* Supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in a kitchen hand or cooking role (preferred, but not essential)
* Strong work ethic and reliability — willing to roll up your sleeves
* A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Availability across a rotating 7-day roster, including evenings and weekends
