About the Role
We are expanding our regional claims specialist programme by introducing a Bathurst role designed to enhance our support for workers and connect them with vital community resources. As a passionate Community Claims Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping workers overcome barriers and achieve positive claims outcomes by facilitating access to community supports and attending medical case conferences.
- Facilitate access to community programs.
- Support workers in connecting with community supports.
- Attend medical case conferences to provide face‑to‑face support.
- Build strong relationships with workers to understand their unique situations.
- Network with claims teams to ensure seamless integration of community support into the claims process.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with internal and external customers.
- Employ a person‑centred approach, focusing on understanding and addressing the individual needs of workers.
About You
Qualifications and experience:
- Extensive knowledge of local community programs, government‑funded initiatives, and local charity supports.
- Experience in social work or community engagement roles with strong understanding of current affairs impacting employers and their workforce.
- Allied Health or Social Work qualifications are highly regarded.
- High‑level sensitivity and interpersonal skills for effective relationship building.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time‑management skills.
- Comfortable working independently to achieve goals.
- Technology savvy: interest in leveraging emerging technologies.
