Opportunity:
We currently have opportunities for Endorsed Enrolled Nurses (EEN) to join our team at Princes Court Homes. You will work on a roster with shifts varying across morning, afternoon and night shifts. Full time and part time (minimum 0.4) positions available.
The EEN is responsible for monitoring and implementing patient care, and to work in accordance with the Commonwealth's Standards for Residential Aged Care Services, Commonwealth and State legislation and policies, philosophy and objectives of Princes Court Homes.
In this role you will contribute significantly to our resident's enjoyment and quality of life.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist residents with prescribed medications.
* Assist residents with personal hygiene, toileting, grooming and mobility.
* Assist with nutrition and hydration as required including some preparation.
* Monitor health, social and emotional wellbeing of residents, reporting any concerns to the Registered Nurse.
* Liaise with doctors, emergency services, families and representatives as required.
* Provide dementia support where required, addressing unmet needs with consideration to individual behaviour support plans.
* Attend to complex health care needs such as wound care and resident reviews
* Assist and supervise residents with professionally determined exercises and treatments.
* Maintain accurate resident documentation.
* Maintain the facility in a clean and tidy manner.
* Participate in meetings and utilise the toolbox document for communication.
* Provides leadership to personal care staff.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
* Registered Nurse (Division 2) with current AHPRA registration and have successfully completed medication administration education.
* Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
* Knowledge of the Commonwealth's Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards and required documentation.
* Knowledge of the Serious Incident Response Scheme and its requirements.
* Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
* Demonstrated time management and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
* Computer literacy is essential.
