Emergency Management Officer Job – Perth

The company currently has an opportunity for an Emergency Services Officer to work on site on a FIFO basis out of Perth on a 2/1 roster. The initial contract will be for 12 months with a possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate breathing apparatus open circuit
2. Undertake confined space rescue
3. Undertake vertical rescue
4. Render hazardous materials incidents safe
5. Employ personal protection at hazardous materials incidents
6. Respond to wildfire scenarios
7. Operate pumps and drive vehicles under operational conditions
8. Prepare, maintain, and test response equipment
9. Lead and manage Critical Risk Services (CRM) within the project site emergency services
10. Liaise with project contractors to ensure adequate personnel resources
11. Manage subordinate emergency personnel, ensuring competence and providing guidance
12. Coordinate with project paramedics
13. Lead emergency and routine fire and rescue duties
14. Ensure emergency response skills maintenance training is conducted accordingly
15. Coordinate training needs and engage external providers for skills training
16. Maintain, service, and calibrate emergency services equipment
17. Operate emergency vehicles per procedures and regulations
18. Maintain medical, fire, rescue assets
19. Conduct mayday, alarm, and communication checks
20. Recruit, train, and mentor Emergency Response Team members
21. Respond to emergency scenarios and conduct routine maintenance
22. Manage site emergency incidents as Team Lead
23. Inspect and report on fire safety measures and equipment
24. Assist in delivering training and conducting drills
25. Perform administrative tasks such as shift recordings
26. Complete tasks as directed by the Safety and Construction Managers
