About The Role
CPBS is seeking an experienced Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our forward-thinking and dedicated team in the Geelong region. As a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, you’ll report to the Regional Clinical Manager for West Melbourne and Geelong. You will support a caseload of participants, conducting assessments, developing behavioural support plans and programs, and assisting with their implementation. You’ll also support the Regional Clinical Manager with clinical supervision and may work with participants with complex needs. The work is based on principles of Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) and Positive Behaviour Support across various settings.
What You'll Do
* Make positive and distinct changes to the lives of others by developing and maintaining relationships
* Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
* Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
* Support and train colleagues, caregivers, and support workers on clinical techniques
* Support the Regional Clinical Manager with clinical supervision of the Behaviour Support Practitioner team
* Collaborate with professionals such as doctors, psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop participant goals
* Ensure compliance with legislative requirements regarding report writing and documentation
* Complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour Support
Skills and Experiences
* A bachelor’s degree and/or postgraduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support
* Hold or be able to obtain an NDIS Practitioner ID, NDIS Workers Screening Check, and Working with Children Check
* Strong professional experience in Positive Behaviour Support
* Experience providing clinical expertise, supervision, and leadership in a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners
* Ability to prepare and finalise technical reports with high-level communication skills
* Effective time management skills to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
