Reporting to the Head of International Relations and Governance, the Manager International
Relations and Programs is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for and
managing the University's Study Abroad and Exchange programs to ensure they support and
contribute to the university's internationalization goals. This position will also develop and
implement the strategy for the various Australian and overseas sponsoring/scholarship
bodies, taking responsibility for planning and executing direct recruitment activities for the
various/identified sponsoring bodies and Study Abroad and Exchange partners.

**About the Work Area
Murdoch University's International Office is responsible for the recruitment of international
students to Murdoch University and the overall management of key international relations
and partnerships. Murdoch University's International Office also contributes significantly to
building the brand and profile of the University via its extensive offshore marketing activities
and development of networks globally, with students, agents, institutions, industry, media
and government departments.

**Key Responsibilities/Duties
1. In collaboration with the Head of International Recruitment, develop and implement
an international recruitment and engagement strategy, including market and
competitor analysis, objectives, priorities, tactics, resources and targets for various
regions/funding bodies/partners; with the overall goal of effective recruitment of high
- calibre sponsored international students and effective study abroad and exchange
programs.

2. Identify, initiate and manage productive, professional relationships and be the
University's main point of contact in relation to key sponsoring bodies and Study
Abroad and Exchange partners;
3. Manage and implement the development of appropriate strategies, policies and
promotional materials relating to the operation, management, monitoring and
reporting of the university's sponsored, study abroad and exchange international
students.

4. Liaise closely with the International Admissions Manager to ensure the accurate and
complete recording and reporting of study abroad, exchange and sponsored students'
requirements to sponsors/partners.

5. Develop and maintain effective, compliant and efficient policies and processes to
advance the engagement and recruitment activities of Murdoch International as they
relate to sponsored, study abroad and exchange students.

6. Represent the University at events, exhibitions and recruitment fairs as well as at other
industry and government events related to international education, both in Australia
and overseas.

7. Engage with foreign embassies, government departments, study abroad and exchange
partners and sponsoring agencies to identify strategic scholarship funding
opportunities for Murdoch.

8. Develop and manage agreements with the Australian Government and key strategic
international partners and sponsors.

9. Collaborate with relevant internal departments in relation to Australia Awards, New
Colombo Plan and Sponsored Student portfolios.
