We are currently recruiting for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our Payroll team at our Head Office in St Leonards. This is a 12-month parental leave contract from June 2026 to June 2027.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be part of a small, collaborative and flexible team, where you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of our EBA payroll.
Responsibilities will include
* End to end processing of the EBA fortnightly and weekly payroll for approx. 200 employees, using ADP
* Reconciliation of the fortnightly and weekly pay run and processing adjustments
* Processing of third-party payments such as PAYG, superannuation, garnishees etc
* Daily updates of time and attendance
* Leave and payment reconciliations
* Interpreting pay policies, such as leave of absence and leave accruals
* Resolving employee queries as required
* Updating and processing Employee changes
* Processing new starters and calculating terminations
* Preparing leave summary reports and payroll costing reports
* Ensuring compliance with legislation updates and company policy
* EOM and EOY Finance and Management reporting
* Participating in Payroll audits (internal and external) and ensuring compliant documentation
* Providing leave cover for the salaried monthly payroll when required
* Providing excellent service to and communication with all stakeholders
About You
* Proven experience working as a Payroll Officer, ideally 5+ years
* Strong ADP systems knowledge, with experience managing end-to-end payroll processes, including STP
* Comprehensive knowledge of payroll requirements, including legislation, taxation and superannuation knowledge
* Knowledge of EBA and Award interpretation would be beneficial
* Outstanding attention to detail, problem solving and organisational skills
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and effectively prioritise your workload
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal and decision‐making skills
* Ability to develop and foster strong relationships with stakeholders and a dedication to providing exceptional service to internal customers.
