**The opportunity**:
We are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our committed and dynamic finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the key purpose of this role is to deliver a range of financial support and governance, ensuring timely delivery of month end responsibilities and forecasts.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Financial analysis in examining revenue and gross margin
- Business partnering with key stakeholders to support commercial finance decision making
- Preparation of variance analysis, commentary on performance and key performance indicators
- Responsible for the preparation of profitability analysis and involvement in future pricing exercises and/or operational improvements
- Month end closure activities including posting journal entries, completing Balance Sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis;
- Assist in preparation of monthly management report & annual budget.
- Preparation of monthly Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasts
- Preparation of financial models and analysis
- Responding to analytical queries from stakeholders across the business
- Head & Sub contract administration
- Assist with responding to auditor queries at half/year end
- Identify and implement process improvements and generate process efficiencies
- Advocate safe work practices as per customer and BSA standards with 100% compliance to procedures and policies
**The right person will have**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce (Qualified CA or CPA)
- Previous experience within a complex, high volume environment, along with intermediate to strong excel skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment with a can-do approach
- Ability to embrace a "hands-on" delivery environment that is client-centric
- Excellent communication, time-management and organizational skills
- Able to work autonomously and in a team environment
