Read more about the team here Health and Clinical Analytics As the Research Support Manager, you will work under the broad direction of the Associate Director, Clinical Research Platform and Director of the Health and Clinical Analytics team to operationalise research support services across the work area. You will play a key role in ensuring effective resource deployment, alignment with strategic objectives, and the delivery of compliant, efficient and high‑quality research operations. A strong focus of the role is supporting external collaborations and overseeing the progression and governance of research documentation. Your key responsibilities will be to: oversee the operational aspects of select research projects to ensure seamless execution, effective resource allocation and alignment with strategic objectives direct the management of grant applications and funding processes, including timely submissions, reporting requirements and optimal allocation of funds establish and maintain robust operational protocols to ensure research practices are compliant, efficient and aligned with best‑practice standards streamline data management operations to support effective data storage, retrieval and analysis coordinate collaborations with external partners, ensuring clear communication, appropriate resource sharing and effective partnership management manage the end‑to‑end workflow of research documentation, from data recording through to publication submissions, ensuring efficiency and compliance liaise with cross‑functional teams and key stakeholders to champion engagement strategies and support collaborative initiatives support work area reporting and compliance requirements, ensuring accuracy, system integration and adherence to university policies oversee the implementation of work area budgets, monitor expenditure against forecasts and contribute to periodic budget reviews manage and allocate resources, setting short‑term priorities to ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively provide leadership, guidance and professional advice to staff to support the proactive achievement of work area outcomes manage staff performance and development, including performance reviews, professional development planning and career management About you · Masters in Epidemiology or equivalent and PhD in a relevant public health field · extensive experience operationalising research support services within a complex research, health or higher education environment, working under broad direction and exercising sound judgement · demonstrated ability to deploy resources effectively, align operational activity with strategic objectives and deliver high ‑ quality, compliant research operations · strong experience supporting clinical or applied research programs, including governance, documentation oversight and compliance management · proven capability in managing and coordinating external collaborations, partnerships and alliances to support research delivery outcomes · well ‑ developed understanding of research documentation lifecycles, including ethics, governance, data management and publication processes · demonstrated expertise in grant administration, funding management and reporting across multiple funding bodies · experience developing and maintaining operational frameworks that promote efficiency, compliance and continuous improvement · highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders · strong organisational, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic research environment Sponsorship / work rights for Australia You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply.
