Job Responsibilities:
* Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies tailored to project requirements.
* Conduct precise on-site measurements and translate them into detailed CAD models using Tekla Structures and SolidWorks.
* Develop, review and validate 3D CAD models and fabrication drawings to ensure design accuracy and constructability.
* Modify and refine designs to enhance manufacturability and streamline production workflows.
* Perform stress and failure analysis to ensure design reliability
* Coordinate with clients to discuss design expectations and implement their feedback effectively.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve engineering challenges
* Prepare production schedules and track progress to meet project deadlines.
* Develop and enforce standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, and workplace safety, ensuring compliance with engineering principles and enhance operational efficiency.
* Developing and improving manufacturing processes, workflows, and production efficiency
* Implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
* Reviewing and optimizing production methods to reduce waste and downtime
* Investigating mechanical failures and providing root cause analysis with corrective actions
* Ensuring compliance with international standards (ISO, AS/NZS, etc.) and safety regulation
* Oversee the production and assembly process
* Prepare, review and maintain technical and engineering documentation
Requirements:
* Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
* At least 3 years (full-time) experience in Mechanical Engineering, preferably in manufacturing industry.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Tekla Structures, SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
* Strong understanding of mechanical principles, commercial awareness, and material science
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
