The Role
The primary objectives of this role include but are not limited to:
To maintain, upgrade and rehabilitate garden beds and open space assets in accordance to service specifications and be multi skilled across the various Parks Services to meet operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Tree Crew with the maintenance and improvement of street and park trees within the municipality.
Plant trees and shrubs including the preparation of the site and transporting plants.
Ensure the maintenance and upgrading of specific garden areas are carried out efficiently and effectively in accordance with service guidelines and specifications.
Operation of council plant and equipment which includes, but is not limited to, elevated platform plant, trucks, travel towers and associated equipment, manual and mechanical cutting tools, climbing equipment.
Assist in the estimation and ordering of plants, trees and shrubs.
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
Current Australian Driver's license
National Criminal History Check
Full working rights within Australia
Beneficial MR licence, Chainsaw Cert & Traffic Control Ticket
