About the role
As the Manager, Commercial Strategy, you will lead Parks Victoria's Commercial Strategy Unit, driving the development and delivery of strategic initiatives that enable the growth and activation of commercial opportunities across the Parks estate. Your role is responsible for establishing frameworks, policies, and market approaches that ensure commercial activities are aligned with organisational objectives and government policy. You will support regional commercial operations, lead competitive and direct negotiation processes, and develop new commercial products and strategies to enhance visitor experiences and generate revenue.
Responsibilities
* Lead the development and delivery of strategic initiatives to grow and activate commercial opportunities across the Parks estate.
* Establish frameworks, policies, and market approaches that align commercial activities with organisational objectives and government policy.
* Support regional commercial operations, and lead competitive and direct negotiation processes.
* Develop new commercial products and strategies to enhance visitor experiences and generate revenue.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience in senior leadership roles in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, preferably in public land management.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental management, public land management, business management or related fields is desirable.
* Experience in leading a multidisciplinary workforce.
* Proven ability to articulate and gain workforce commitment to a vision, generating enthusiasm and commitment.
* Demonstrates the consistent use of sound judgement and the highest standards of professional ethics in taking calculated risks, making and influencing quality decisions and developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
