The SAS Administration and Operations team is responsible for installation, configuration, and ongoing operation of SAS platforms across customer and internal environments. The team ensures SAS solutions are stable, secure, and performing optimally by managing infrastructure, supporting upgrades, and resolving operational issues. Working closely with project managers, delivery managers, and other technical teams, the group plays a critical role in delivering reliable, high-quality outcomes for customers. As an intern, you might: Install, configure, and administer SAS platforms and components. Monitor system health, performance, and capacity, and proactively identify and address issues. Support SAS platform upgrades, patches, and migrations across environments. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, service requests, and operational issues. Collaborate with project managers, delivery managers, and technical teams during implementation and change activities. Automate routine and repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency, consistency, and reliability. Develop and maintain scripts, tools, and workflows to reduce manual intervention and operational overhead. Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals. Embrace curiosity, passion, authenticity and accountability. Required Qualifications Degree type: Bachelor’s Targeted majors: Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, or a related technical discipline You are currently enrolled in a college or university and studying in an accredited academic program. Foundational knowledge of Linux or UNIX-based operating systems Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts (e.g., virtual machines, storage, networking) Exposure to data analytics platforms, databases, or reporting tools Familiarity with scripting or automation concepts (e.g., shell scripting, Python, or similar) Strong problem-solving skills with an interest in operational support and platform reliability Technical skills: You have hands-on experience or academic exposure to one or more of the following: Linux administration, scripting languages (Bash, Python), cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), and basic data analytics tools.
