Stores Assistant, Delivery Driver & Garden Maintenance Worker
Position Overview
Port Hedland Based – Residential. FIFO considered for the right applicant. The role supports day‑to‑day operations by managing stock, completing deliveries, and maintaining outdoor grounds. It suits someone practical, organised, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
Key Responsibilities
Stores / Warehouse Duties
* Receiving and checking incoming stock: verifying quantities, inspecting for damage, and completing paperwork.
* Organising and storing inventory: maintaining tidy, well‑labelled storage areas.
* Picking and packing orders: preparing items for delivery or internal use.
* Stock rotation and stocktake: ensuring accurate counts and reducing waste.
* Maintaining store cleanliness and safety: following workplace procedures and reporting hazards.
Delivery Driving
* Loading and unloading goods safely: using correct manual‑handling techniques.
* Delivering items to customers or worksites: following scheduled routes and timeframes.
* Completing delivery documentation: obtaining signatures and updating logs.
* Vehicle care and basic maintenance: checking fuel, tyres, cleanliness, and reporting issues.
* Providing friendly customer service: representing the organisation professionally.
Lawn & Grounds Maintenance
* Mowing, edging, and trimming lawns: using push or ride‑on mowers and line trimmers.
* Weeding, pruning, and general garden upkeep: keeping grounds neat and presentable.
* Operating and maintaining equipment: cleaning tools and reporting faults.
* Rubbish removal and outdoor cleaning: ensuring safe, tidy outdoor areas.
* Assisting with minor landscaping tasks: mulching, planting, or soil preparation.
Skills & Qualifications
* Valid driver's licence (manual preferred).
* Valid Class C (car licence) required for delivery driving duties.
* Experience in stores, delivery, or groundskeeping is beneficial but not essential.
* Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
* Must be able to safely lift items up to 25kg.
* Basic mechanical or equipment‑handling knowledge.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Strong time‑management and reliability.
* Permanent resident status required.
