Payroll Officer Role
Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is a major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services. As a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll in line with Health Industry Awards, Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs), and NHW's internal policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Providing expert advice on payroll matters to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
* Guiding staff on EBA entitlements to ensure seamless implementation of employee benefits.
* Coordinating payroll reports to provide management with critical insights into organizational performance.
* Managing data entry and filing systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in payroll administration, preferably within a healthcare setting.
* Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, including EBA entitlements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with managers, leadership teams, and external bodies.
* Aptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting to resolve complex payroll issues.
