Responsibilities
Reporting to the Functional Manager within Supply Chain with dual line to Project Director you will join an Australia wide team that is based in Perth & Brisbane.
Work collaboratively across a diverse range of engineering packages from conceptual studies through to EPCM delivery for local & international developments.
Join a dedicated project team working on Australia's leading greenfield critical minerals sector.
Execute specific aspects of supply chain management including expediting, procurement, subcontracts, negotiation and reporting of major procurement packages/subcontracts.
Responsible for the end-to-end sourcing process (Strategy through Close Out) for the major procurement/subcontract packages assigned to them, in alignment with pre-qualification of suppliers.
Attend regular Supply Chain meetings with client, engineering and/or project management personnel to ensure dates for pre-order deliverables within their portfolio are being maintained.
Establish priorities, assign workloads and review tasks as assigned to direct reports.
Utilise Wood Approved Supplier Register (ASR) supplemented when required by project/client approved supplier registers for supplier evaluation, audit, and selection.
Provide guidance and direction in the compilation of packages to tender within project scope from advertising through to clarifications and commercial close-out.
Provide guidance, direction and support to all relevant stakeholders on both Wood's and the suppliers' specific contractual obligations and responsibilities, whilst managing the tender process and clarifications and queries.
Receive tenders and coordinate the evaluation through to recommendation. Review of T&C's would be undertaken in coordination with the client.
Qualifications
This opportunity is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Specialist who is seeking to build their career within the engineering resource sector, joining some of the world's most developing Greenfield EPCM projects, where your skills in supply chain from projects at early design through to execution will play an integral part in our current scopes.
Tenure within the Contracts/Procurement within the resources and project delivery sector, ideally in minerals & metals.
Experience within the Resources Sector, particularly in Greenfield EPCM delivery packages working with major equipment packages of $1m upwards.
Prior exposure to the delivery of major projects internationally located would be desired not essential.
Detailed knowledge of suppliers, commercial evaluations, negotiations and terms and conditions of purchase/contract.
Prior experience in working within a project execution environment, with ability to display agility and adaptability to competing demands.
Commercial evaluations, negotiations and terms and condition qualification through varied stages of a project lifecycle, and exposure to tender process requirements in such evaluation.
Exposure to highly engineered packages, that bring complexity and higher vendor engagement/clarification/negotiation.
Commercially astute with ability to build strong relationships across multiple vendors, with effective negotiation skills.
A collaborative and relationship-focused partnering approach to align cohesively between varied stakeholders, upholding WOOD values and corporate governance in the supply chain delivery model.
