Human Resources Manager Role
This key position leads the full range of human resources functions to foster a positive workforce. Responsibilities include strategic recruitment, talent management, performance development, compliance, employee engagement, and workplace health and safety.
The Human Resources Manager works closely with senior leaders to ensure organisational compliance with relevant laws and regulations while driving change management initiatives and promoting a values-based culture.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies and oversee the onboarding process.
* Design and lead workforce planning and retention strategies.
* Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including performance appraisal and exit procedures.
* Create and execute initiatives to enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.
* Coordinate training programs, ensure mandatory training compliance, and support employee development plans.
* Manage WHS systems, employee wellbeing, WorkCover, and return-to-work processes.
* Provide expert advice on employee and industrial relations matters.
* Maintain accurate HR documentation, policies, and compliance records.
* Report HR metrics, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
* Lead or support organisational change initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years' generalist HR experience, preferably in a standalone or leadership role.
* Strong knowledge of employment legislation.
* Proven experience in recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
* Experience in WHS, employee wellbeing, and organisational change.
* High proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
