Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best fit Youth Workers to Youth Service Organisations across Australia.
This role is based in
**Artarmon & Turramurra.**
**Overview of the role**:
- Support young people aged 12-18 years old in Residential Care Services.
- **24-hour care model - staff are required to work a combination of morning (from 7am), afternoon (from 3pm) and sleep over shifts.**:
- Deliver high quality care to young people who are unable to live with their families, kinship carers or foster carers.
- Respond to the young person's emotional and functional needs and the development of their personal skills.
- Work within a team to provide trauma informed & therapeutic care to young people who present complex needs due to past trauma and abuse.
- Provide a safe and home environment while supporting young people to achieve their goals.
- Assist with administrative requirements, household duties and transportation.
**What you need**:
- A minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or a recognised tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Community Services or a related qualification
- Full Australian driver's license
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR
- Working with Children Check (paid employee status)
- National Police Check
- A reliable car with current registration & insurance
- Reliable smart phone with data
- Ability to work a combination of morning, afternoon & sleep over shifts.
- Previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs in an out of home care setting (preferred)
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention TCI Training (preferred)
