About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Learning Manager to lead the training function for a significant, multi-site technology deployment. This is a critical role that will shape the training strategy, curriculum, and delivery model to ensure successful user adoption across national operations, including offices and warehouses. You will be instrumental in navigating the complexities of a multi-site rollout, managing logistics, and ensuring that their diverse user base is equipped with the necessary skills to effectively leverage new systems and processes. This role requires a hands-on approach, from strategic planning and curriculum design to overseeing content development and managing training delivery. Key Responsibilities: Training Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive end-to-end training strategy for a large-scale technology deployment, encompassing system, process, and technical training. This will include conducting detailed training needs analysis, defining learning objectives, and outlining a holistic curriculum. Curriculum & Content Development: Lead the design and development of all training materials, including facilitator guides, user manuals, digital learning modules (PowerPoint, etc.), and user-friendly resources. You will also manage the creation of content lists and ensure alignment with deployment phases. Deployment & Logistics Management: Plan and manage the logistical complexities of training delivery across multiple sites and shifts, ensuring efficient scheduling and minimal disruption to operations. Third-Party Vendor Management: Collaborate closely with external providers, particularly in the development and integration of digital learning solutions. This includes managing vendor relationships, ensuring delivery to budget and pipeline. Training Delivery Oversight: Oversee the delivery of training, including training super users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and potentially directly facilitating sessions. Ensure training methods are effective and cater to diverse learning styles. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a small team of training developers and digital learning specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. To be successful in this role, you will have: Extensive experience in leading and managing the training function for large-scale technology implementations, particularly within complex, multi-site environments. Demonstrated experience in end-to-end training program development and delivery, including conducting training needs analysis, curriculum design, content creation, and evaluation. Proven ability to manage the logistical challenges of training deployment, particularly in environments with shift workers. Strong experience in working with and managing third-party vendors for digital learning solutions is highly desirable. A solid understanding of technical training, system training, and process training, ideally gained from large program experience rather than single technology implementations. Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop robust training approaches even in the absence of a pre-existing plan. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. A hands-on approach and a willingness to be actively involved in all stages of the training lifecycle.
