Electrical Engineering Technician
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of electrical engineering tasks, including designing and implementing tower crane power supply layouts, developing and modifying control panel systems, and conducting precise measurements and calculations.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing and implementing tower crane power supply layouts, including temporary site distribution boards and crane motor control circuits.
* Developing and modifying control panel systems and on-site electrical network schemes in collaboration with technical teams.
* Conducting precise measurements, executing detailed computations, and visualizing outcomes through graphs and data charts.
* Calculating resource needs and projecting budget estimates for tower crane electrical system components, upgrades, and repair parts.
* Reviewing technical outputs and verifying adherence to relevant Australian engineering codes, safety standards, and quality standards for electrical installations on cranes.
* Setting up, fine-tuning, troubleshooting, and upgrading tower crane electrical assemblies and control systems to ensure operational safety and compliance with manufacturer specifications and site requirements.
* Handling component integration tasks in a workshop setting, involving the configuration of safety relays, overload protection devices, and load moment indicator (LMI) signal monitoring modules for tower cranes.
Requirements
* Relevant qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification.
* At least 1 year of experience.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Confident manner.
* Positive approach to change.
Benefits
