Overview

Clinical Nurse Consultant - Wound Management (524510L3) – Tasmania, Australia

The Wound Management team, Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Consultants are based in Hobart and provide a wound consultation service for Royal Hobart Hospital inpatients, support outpatient wound clinics, and community-based clinics.


Role

The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Wound Management works collaboratively with nursing, medical and allied health clinicians to:

* Provide clinical leadership and direction for the management of patients with wound management and skin integrity needs throughout the Royal Hobart Hospital and Community services within the Southern region of Tasmania.
* Provide expert advice, support and educational services both internally and to external providers as required.


You will need

* Demonstrated advanced level clinical expertise in the assessment, coordination, implementation and evaluation of wound management, including advanced knowledge and understanding of relevant standards and best practice principles.
* Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision to achieve service delivery objectives.
* Highly developed effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to support interdisciplinary team environment activities.

Details of appointment

Fixed term, part-time, day worker position, up to 46 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 31 December 2026. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.


Salary and benefits

Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Salary Packaging:

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
* Desirable: Holds or is working towards a relevant postgraduate tertiary qualification
* Current Driver’s Licence
