Family Support Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Family Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support services, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to families in need.
Key Responsibilities:
* To develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual family needs;
* To deliver evidence-based parenting programs and collaborate with community partners to support families;
* To recruit, assess, and support foster and kinship carers, including facilitating approval processes;
* To lead case management planning and maintain accurate client records;
* To provide flexible, in-home support services, including after-hours and on-call duties.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A relevant degree in social work, psychology, or a related field - or equivalent experience;
* A strong understanding of child protection, out-of-home care, and relevant legislation;
* Skilled in care assessments and trauma-informed practice;
* Knowledge of challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities;
* A current driver's licence, National Police Check, and Working with Children clearance.
