Mercy Community is seeking a strong clinical leader to join Leinster Place, our 80-bed residential aged care home in Rockhampton.
This is a key leadership role supporting the Facility Manager and providing clinical oversight, team guidance and accountability for resident care outcomes.
If you are an experienced Registered Nurse who understands aged care reform, AN-ACC, compliance and real clinical leadership.
About the Role
The Care Manager supports the Facility Manager in the overall accountability for clinical governance, quality and resident outcomes across the home.
You will:
* Provide hands-on clinical leadership and oversight
* Ensure care plans, assessments and documentation are compliant and meaningful
* Oversee risk areas including wounds, falls, medication, nutrition, hydration and continence
* Support SIRS management and incident response
* Prepare the home for audits and accreditation activity
* Coach, guide and hold nursing and care staff accountable
* Support a strong, positive and safe clinical culture
This role is suited to someone who is confident, calm under pressure and capable of leading through change.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Strong experience in residential aged care
* Demonstrated knowledge of AN-ACC, accreditation and aged care reform
* Experience leading and developing clinical teams
* Confidence in managing audits, documentation and regulatory compliance
* Strong communication skills with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams
* A proactive approach to risk management and quality improvement
