Principal Lawyer/Practice Leader-Commercial Law
Our client is a highly impressive multi‐award‐winning modern, forward‐thinking, nimble, young, vibrant and close‐knit multi‐disciplinary law firm undergoing continuous growth. We have an existing diverse commercial law practice that includes commercial transactions, commercial & construction litigation, property/conveyancing and succession law.
The firm is looking for a practice leader to take full ownership and drive further growth of the practice, managing a team of lawyers and paralegals, reporting to the Managing Partner and GM. The role offers a competitive salary of $160,000‐$230,000 plus a lucrative performance bonus, guaranteed annual increase and financial support for further education. Flexible work‐from‐home arrangement is available. The position is based in Sydney.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the commercial law practice, overseeing all practice areas.

Who you are
* Seasoned partner, principal, sole practitioner or senior associate seeking greater responsibility.
* Proven experience in commercial law transactions (essential) and preferably in at least one of commercial litigation, construction law, property law or succession law.
* Transferable client base or a strong track record in business development and marketing.
* Strong technical legal drafting, negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
* Demonstrated leadership and effective client relationship management.
* Entrepreneurial, ambitious, self‐driven and eager to be a key person in a fast‐growing firm.
