We specialise in steel products for both major projects and everyday businesses. Our people are our greatest asset, and we're looking for a motivated HR Assistant to join our WA team.
About the RoleBased in Hope Valley, with occasional travel to Welshpool, you will support HR across all WA operations. Reporting to three General Managers and working closely with the National HR Team, this role offers hands-on experience across a variety of HR functions. You will receive guidance and training from the Head Office team to help you succeed and grow in HR.
Key responsibilities may include:
* Assisting with recruitment and onboarding, including job advertising, candidate screening, and interviews
* Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries across WA sites
* Supporting general HR administration and record keeping using HRIS systems (Connx)
* Learning to provide advice on HR policies and procedures
* Assisting with employee relations matters such as performance management or grievances, with support from senior HR staff
* Collaborating with the HR team in Sydney on HR initiatives and projects
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
* Some exposure to HR tasks (e.g., internships, admin experience) is a plus, but full training will be provided
* Willingness to learn HR best practices and Australian employment legislation
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships across multiple locations
* Organised, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to travel occasionally for business needs
