Design Manager Role
The Design Manager is responsible for overseeing all design activities across multiple construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management or engineering, as well as significant experience working on large-scale construction projects from $100m upwards. They will also possess strong leadership and communication skills, knowledge of construction project management tools and software, and understanding of construction contracts and regulatory requirements.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee design activities across multiple construction projects.
* Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
* Develop and maintain project design schedules and budgets, providing regular updates on progress and potential issues to senior management.
* Review project specifications and contracts, identifying design requirements and constraints, and resolving design-related issues.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management or engineering.
* 8+ years of experience in design management in the construction industry.
* Experience working on large-scale construction projects from $100m upwards ideally within Apartments.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Knowledge of construction project management tools and software.
* Understanding of construction contracts and regulatory requirements.
* Familiarity with building codes and standards.
