We are seeking a skilled professional to manage and monitor road network operations in real-time.
About the Role
This is a 12-month casual position based in Sydney, requiring full availability including weekends and public holidays as the roads we manage operate 24/7.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitoring traffic flow and responding to incidents using Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), CCTV and other systems
* Coordinating with emergency services and dispatching response crews
* Operating key systems including ventilation, drainage and fire panels
* Communicating updates via Variable Message Signs and digital platforms
* Logging incidents accurately and escalating issues as needed
* Supporting training, mentoring and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
* Strong communication skills in high-pressure environments
* Sound decision-making and situational awareness
* Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
* Ability to complete structured training and assessments
* Experience in traffic operations or emergency response coordination preferred
